Second Grade Christmas Program

Thursday evening we had the privilege and joy of attending Jillian's Christmas program. It was her first time to be on the big stage in our Performing Arts Center. She said she kind of liked it.

Harrison attended as well and waited patiently in the big boy chair for the program to start. About 3 songs in, however, his patience with sitting still and being confined had past. He and I moved to the back where he could run around and I could continue to take in the show - but without disrupting everyone else. Jillian is just to the left of the music stand. She is wearing a red shirt and has her hair braided.

This is the whole crew. We know that not all the second graders were there, but the music teacher said this was the biggest turnout she thought she had ever had. As a teacher, this excites me. I am hopeful that Jillian will have one of those classes that are involved and do things. That their parents will care and be present. Those kinds of classes tend to be better behaved, have intelligent kids, and are fun to work with. Here's hoping that turns out to be true.

"You better watch out, you watch not cry, you better not pout..." This was their pout faces. They, surprisingly, did this very well.

They sang lots of songs, but I had to pick the shortest video, if I had hope of actually getting it posted. So enjoy the class of 2022 as they get in the spirit of Christmas!
