Welcome to 2017! The new year has come in like many others. Ok, maybe like all the others. But this year comes on the heels of a year that really wasn't like many others and that has some of us feeling uneasy, unsettled, and afraid. I have thought about this disquiet in our world as the new year approached, and I have only answer. "Let your faith in God be bigger than your fears." We have pulled our eyes off the target; we have forgotten the only thing that will guide and restore us. 2017 may find you happy, content, or sad, but my longing for all of us is that we have hope. I pray that we can be hopeful that the upcoming months will deliver greatness is some form or fashion. That the next 364 days will demonstrate to us, daily, that God is still on His throne and His mercies are new every morning. I want this year to be about the big things God is doing. I hope my focus stays on Jesus and that He will be bigger than anything in my world. "My hope is in You, Jesus, my hope is in you!"
