Things I Just Don't Understand

I have a running list in my head of things I believe I will never understand. Some of them are super silly and inconsequential. Those are questions like the following. Why do grown men wear their caps backward? Have they not seen what that looks like? What do people not replace the toilet paper roll when they use the last of one? Why do I continue to go to Wal-Mart when I just hate going there? Why do people think and behave like wearing leggings or tights as pants is acceptable or flattering? Am I going to understand these things? Nope, but...
Some days I have some questions that are much more difficult to deal with. How can someone use a weapon to knowingly and willingly end the lives of others who have done nothing to provoke such an attack? How can you back a candidate that you don't agree with or believe in just because of the party under which they are running? Why is it so easy for people to spew hate and contempt and so hard for us to show love and compassion? Why do we think that every single opinion we have needs to be shared with the world (and, yes, I see the irony of me saying that on my blog)? Why do we believe that we are knowledgeable enough to even have sound opinions on every thing under the sun?
My list is longer. Honestly it grows every single day. Both the silly and the serious. For now I will continue to shop for islands, contemplate a world where I don't daily have alerts to a world in crisis, and pray that some of my questions won't be relevant any longer.
