Cough, Cough

Harrison has had a yucky nose for over a week. This, unfortunately, is not uncommon amongst our children. As a matter-of-fact, he has this every time he is getting a tooth, so we suffer through it about once a month. This one started the day before Thanksgiving and had carried on all week long. This morning we could hear him coughing through the monitor and it sounded terrible. Then Carole sent me a text this morning that I needed to call her. When I did, I could hear him hacking and crying and hacking some more in the background. I left school and took him to the walk-in clinic because his doctor's office couldn't get us in until 2:15. He sounded so bad I wasn't willing to wait that long. (You know, when it is your baby, it is urgent!) Both of his ears were red and irritated and one had fluid on it. We are enduring our first ear infection :(. And he is taking his first antibiotics. Hopefully he will feel better soon and we move past this yucky first.
