It is Only a Matter of Time

Jillian went to her 8 year well-child check-up this morning. As I suspected, she was totally good. He looked her over pretty thoroughly and said "See you back next year!" That is always good to hear. She measured in at 52" tall and almost 64 pounds. That puts her in the 77th percentile on height and 72nd for weight. He made sure to say that for her height, her weight is basically ideal. She isn't overweight or underweight. I have said since she was little bitty that she would be taller than her mother - it isn't if, it is when. And as you imagine, I haven't ever been in the 77th percentile on my height, so the day is coming when she will tower over her mama. I think I am going to be the little person in this house - and that is okay. So all is good with my girl. Just what a mama likes to hear 4 days before Christmas!
