Enjoying Spring, Part 3

On Saturday afternoon, we let the kids break out the sprinkler and play for a while. Jillian loves doing that kind of thing - every time it gets to be about 80 degrees, she starts asking. This was Harrison's first time. He was a little unsure but he got on board before too long.

And then he was tired of getting water in his eyes, so he decided to walk away.

And today marks an anniversary for us. 5 years ago today my Papaw passed away. This has been such a good week, but today I couldn't help remember that this time of year has brought us sadness in the past. I know that my Papaw is celebrating Easter in Heaven this year - just like he did 5 years ago. Can you imagine what a celebration he gets to have there? And he gets to spend it with the resurrected Lord! We miss you, Papaw, but we know that you are singing a beautiful tune with Jesus today.
