The Birthday Party
So I have a nephew whose birthday was a couple of weeks ago. And I have another nephew whose birthday is in a couple of weeks. So my sister planned a mid-birthday party for the boys to save us making so many trips. The birthday party just happened to fall on my birthday. That's right, folks, I am officially a year older. So Saturday was a day of celebrating!
This is Jonathan having fun on the slip-n-slide.
That is still Jonathan.
This is my daughter. I believe she was pouting because she was getting wet at the water party. I can assure you that what this means is that people were not following her rules or directions. She pouted for a while (I just ignored it as I was busy having a good time) but she eventually got over it.
Harrison enjoyed playing in the water.
Happy now...
Happy together - sort of. Harrison was about watered out by now.
Done and ready to take a nap
Since Nathan has gotten a job, a new car became a necessity. I am not lying when I say that such purchases make me what to throw-up. I tried to avoid it. I tried to not go shopping, but my husband just said that he would go without me and get whatever he wanted (I didn't believe him but he did say it). So after the party, he and I went to do a little shopping. I had NO expectation of finding anything that: #1 - we could afford, #2 - that we could agree on, #3 - in a color we would find acceptable. But we did run across this Toyota Highlander and we got a good deal and 0% interest. And it is a plum-ish color - in this picture it looks brown but it isn't. So I am now moving around town in this little thing...
