Easter 2012

Easter celebrations began Saturday evening with a little egg dying action. Aunt Sheri even let Harrison get in on the action. This was his first ever egg to dye. The older kids are ol' pros by now. Jillian went through 4 eggs before I even knew what was happening.

Bright and early this morning we were off to see what could be found. We like to get a "before" shot, and you can see that one child - one of Nathan's children, no less - was not really cooperating.

He did get the hang of it and found a few eggs, but he wasn't moving very fast and he was trying to carry his own basket which only slowed him down more. He did get really excited when he would find an egg, though.

Post-hunt.

How's this for a motley crew? Ha! I actually tried on the same dress that Sheri has on but I decided against it. When I walked in to church and saw her this morning, I started laughing. How funny would that have been if we both showed up with the same dress?

Papa and Nanny and the crew. This here is the real motley crew. They look sweet and good, but really they are L.O.U.D and messy (and perfectly wonderful, of course).

Our little family - and my big blessing!

Jillian's basket during the afternoon hunt. Harrison slept through this one. He was one tired boy after waking up at 5:30 (on his own - we didn't hunt eggs THAT early) and taking a short nap before church.

We do serve a risen Savior, and we had a great worship service this morning that pointed directly toward our resurrected Lord. I hope you had a wonderful day!

Beautiful pictures, Erin! It was nice seeing your Mom and Dad in pictures. I haven't seen them in a long time. They look the same. Glad you guys had a great Easter.
