Meet Tavin

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who made a friend. This friendship started in the 1st grade. It survived chasings, hidings, all sorts of elementary school antics, the fourth grade "relationship" (laugh with me - because it is funny), a move to California, and miles and miles of separation. The little girl's friend had a creative streak and therefore pursued a career in the film industry. On the side, friend developed a character and made episodes starring said character. And then in 2012, friend/character went on tour and came back to Arkansas to perform. So the girl made a trek to a place called Mountain View on this her Spring Break to see her life-long friend and to meet character in person. What a wonderful time! Plus girl spent the night there with her hubby because grandparents who keep the grandchildren are a wonderful thing!!!

Seriously, Joel Berry has been my friend for that long. Our elementary school had a tree on the playground that we could climb on and play (they would so NEVER do that these days), and in the second grade, he pulled me off of it. It knocked the wind out of me, and the first thing I did when I caught my breath was to tell the nearest teacher. Our friendship survived - both the pulling and the telling. Joel read Scripture at my wedding, and my only trip to CA was to attend his wedding. I see him and his beautiful wife every couple of years and I cherish our friendship. When I saw that his tour was coming to Arkansas - and it was over Spring break - I just knew that I had to go.

This is Joel... And this is his character, Tavin Dillard...

If you are looking for some entertainment, you can go to YouTube and search for Tavin Dillard or Sweet Tea Films and you will find a plethora of Tavin episodes. It is a hoot!
