A Couple of Firsts and Other Stuff

Harrison has found out that he can climb onto the back of the love seat and see out the window. Sometimes he stands in the windowsill. Other times he sits. He looks for all the cars and balls. Last Saturday our neighbors were having a family gathering, and he just talked to them and about their cars. That little right hand was banging on the glass.

He is - on occasion - wanting to run around the house in sunglasses. This is definitely on his terms. He thinks he is all that when he does it - and he is awfully cute.

When we were at my parents' during the early part of Spring Break, he got his first tractor ride. I thought he might be afraid once it started; he wasn't. I thought he might cry when we took him off of it; he didn't. He just rode around and said, "Boon, boon" over and over again.

He also took his first horse ride yesterday. I am not sure what he thought. Again, he didn't cry. But he didn't look overly thrilled either. He did pet Brownie on the nose and he gave me a little grin when he got up there. I am sure he will love it.

Jillian has entered into a stage where she wants things done to her hair. Be mindful of the fact that I don't do anything to my own. We could be facing some challenges. Sometimes she wants it braided. Other times she wants ponytails or pigtails. Yesterday she found this flower and made herself some "pretty" hair. She is going to be more girly than her mama.

My men coming back from their ride.

Tomorrow reality returns. Jillian and I will go back to school. I am not excited. I hate leaving my baby all day, but I will. For 8 1/2 more weeks. This school year has gone by quickly, and those 8 1/2 weeks will be gone before I know it. Then I will get an extra long summer home with my babies - and hopefully just them (as we hope Nathan has a job by summer). Happy end of Spring Break!
