Happy Birthday, Nathan

Today is my fantabulous husband's birthday. And on days like today, I like to think about and express what exactly this fellow means to me. That proves to be quite difficult - truthfully. He is my rock. I am not the picture of emotional stability [this will be surprising to many of you ;)]. Nathan helps to keep the calm in our world when I am beside myself. He is my laughter so much of the time. Whether it is because I am laughing at him or whether he is trying to be funny, we do laugh a lot around here. He is my honest voice of reason. I talk to lots of people, but I can always (even when I want him to sugar-coat it for me) count on Nathan to tell me the truth - which includes when I am wrong or right, being mistreated or too sensitive, etc. And on top of all that, he helps clean and keep house, especially now that I don't feel up to being Wonder Woman. Plus he is an amazing father to our precious girl, who will benefit forever from his devotion.

Nathan will never read this, but I hope he knows that he means the world to us. We love him so much, and we know how extremely lucky and blessed we are to have him and call him ours.
