Jillian was a rock star for Halloween this year. She is quite the diva, so I thought this extremely fitting. Our church had a block party in one of the neighborhoods here in town, and we went there first. Jillian wasn't feeling well (complaining of a tummy ache) so our time there was okay but she just sat most of the time. We came home and let her rest for a few minutes. She took a Pepto tablet and drank some 7-Up and felt better. So then we hit the road to our normal stops on Halloween. We are home now - she wanted to pass out candy this year. At the block party she said, "I am more interested in giving out candy than getting candy." I am very happy with that attitude. She has even sorted through what she did get and is giving most of it away as well. That will work well for me - less for me to munch on.

On a completely different note, I went shopping yesterday and was pretty successful. I wanted to get some of my Christmas shopping out of the way before Baby Mills arrives. I know I can go with him/her, but it is just easier to go alone. I can't say I am finished, but I can say that I made great progress. If I had my wrapping paper picked out, I could already have several presents ready for the tree. Which won't be up for 3 or 4 weeks from now! I have to say I am feeling proud of myself. We'll see how long that will last?!
