S.P.O.I.L.E.D.

Friends, everyone in my family suffers from a Big S problem.  We are all spoiled.   I can try to deny it. I might even fight it, but facts are facts.  My kiddos came home with big time loot. Nathan and I did, too. We will not have need of anything for a long while.  I know that won't stop us from wanting, but need is out of the question.

Harrison and Jillian exchanged gifts on Tuesday evening.  She got him Boulder the Rescue Bot.
He got her a couple of shirts. He picked this one all by himself. I even tried to steer him to another shirt, but he would have none of it.
Abby and Jared passed out all the presents on Christmas Eve.  I just love Jared's pajama shirt. I tried to sneak several pictures of him.
Nanny and Papa got everyone some Razorback wear. We are ready to support our Hogs come Monday.
Some were super excited to get this present opening thing going. On Christmas Eve, they open one present at a time.  And some years they start with the oldest while other years it begins with the youngest.  This year we started with the oldest, so my Little Man had to wait a while. He was pretty patient considering he is Harrison and that he is 4.
He LOVED this present which has 6 Superhero figures.  Look at that face, y'all.
We had a little more waiting to do on Christmas morning, but our kiddos handled it ridiculously well. Here is my sweet girl waiting to see what is in her packages.
She had been eyeing these slipper boots for a while now. Of course, they didn't fit her because my 11-year-old's feet are about 1 inch shorter than mine.  We have a stack of stuff return but I would rather not be within 10 miles of Wal-Mart today (actually I feel that way everyday, but some are definitely worse than others).
Jillian's big gift was an iPad mini. She was completely surprised, I think. She has spent most of the day today playing and getting everything just how she wants it.
And Little Man got a new vehicle (as he calls it).  He is in hog heaven.  And today he told me it was really fast! If the sun would shine and the weather would be tolerable, he would get a lot of use out of it.  And I am sure he will anyway - someday...
And it is big enough to old both of them.  Not for too long - as together they are right at the max - but for now they can zoom through the life together.
I have said of myself for years that I was spoiled but not spoiled rotten. I guess I am trying to pass that on to the next generation. My kids are spoiled - big time - but I hope they aren't spoiled rotten. I try every day to teach them gratitude and love. There are days that lesson falls on deaf ears. There are days when the message gets lost in translation. And, frankly, there are days when I don't teach it well. But I sure hope that I can give my kids some fun stuff all the while teaching them that they are not entitled to it.  That is a big job!

Hope your Christmas was filled with faith and family.
