Thank you for following me! I don't know that I ever dreamed I would be blogging a year after I started, much less 5 years and 500 posts. I know that in the last year or so, I have lost a lot of my steam, but I am grateful for everyone of you who visit regularly, every once-in-a-while, or once a year just to catch up. It is privilege to share a little piece of us with you.
This summer we have really been focused on this swimming thing. Jillian has practice 3 days a week. We have done stroke lessons for the last couple and will do it for the next couple as well. And then we have the actual meets. Jillian is loving all the time in the water, of course. And even Harrison is getting to splash around during the stroke lessons.
Friday night was the Russellville meet so my parents and baby sister's family joined us for the fun. Two of my favorite boys in the world are right here... Melt my heart; I love these two more than anyone will ever know.
Jillian swam the same things this meet as she did the first - backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and a couple of relays. Nathan got some great backstroke pictures.
She won her heat for breaststroke. Her medley relay team won their heat - by a mile. And Jillian had to swim two legs of it. We will find out tomorrow about her official times and if she placed overall in anything.
These last pictures are from her stroke lesson last week.
Listen intently...
Resting after a big day playing on the first step of the pool. It is a hard life - being Harrison.
Speaking of being Harrison...the potty training thing is going well. He wears his underwear all the time except for nap and bedtime. And honestly, most days, he could probably be in underwear then, too. Mom is just not ready to brave that yet. Maybe in a few days. Until today he had a perfect record for pooping in the potty for the last 3 (maybe 4, I can't remember) weeks. He messed that up today (Haha), though. I still have to ask him if he has to go or actually take him to the bathroom. He does tell you sometimes, but he has not been consistent with that so far. Someone said he has me trained to take him rather than him being trained to go. That is probably true, but it still saves me money on diapers. I only have 3 1/2 weeks left before I return to work, so I would love for the switch to get flipped sooner rather than later.
The house is still in a waiting game. We think it might be next week before the framers start. I promise to post some pictures once that frame starts going up.

congratulations on the 500th post! I started in 2008, and never thought i'd be here 5yrs later either. i'm glad I stick with it, since I print each year into a book.
Happy 500th! That potty training stuff is difficult! I laughed when said it is hard being Harrison!
