Time Marches On

My girl keeps getting older.   I know it is the natural order of things.   This is what is supposed to happen and I would be distraught if it wasn't happening.   But does it have to happen so fast?   A few minutes back, my Jillian officially hit the 9-year-old mark.   It just doesn't feel like that could be possible.  Apparently - it is.

We started our day with breakfast.   Yes, I made breakfast - in the morning.   It doesn't happen often, but I did it today.   J thought my candle in the pancake was "a little much" but I wanted to celebrate.

 

Her friend from school spent the night and stayed today with us.   Harrison liked her - a lot.   He tackled her just like he does his sister.   So he is tackling in the background and Jillian is talking in the foreground.
