Pelt Christmas 2012

Hope you don't die of shock - 2 posts in 2 days.   Maybe the end of the world is upon us!   This weekend we celebrated our first Christmas of the season.   It is my mom's family's Christmas.   We do it the second weekend in December.   We do non-holiday foods (like soups, chili, etc) and play Dirty Santa.   The kids get a little present, and we have a fabulous time.

We let the kiddos open their presents first so that we adults can do our Dirty Santa without them.
Jillian got a book she has been wanting.  The look on her face wasn't bad timing with the camera.   That is her "I am so thrilled I am at a loss for words" look.   Can I just say I love that she loves books?
She does like him.   We have suspected it now for about 11 years, but now we have proof ;).
These Pelts are a crazy lot, and they don't get much crazier than my Uncle Jimmy.   He stole this thing and modeled happily for us.
There were a few gag gifts.   Brooke got the first one - an elf hat that sang and jiggled.   She was thrilled to win that prize.   As the song went one she asked, "Will it ever stop?"
It is important to pick a good gift - as there is a present with money in it.   And there are those gag gifts to be avoided.   Brett is trying to make a good decision.
Dylan did not.   I won't go into too many details.  Let's just say that the movie is Magic Mike and the other gift ties in with the movie.
Geoff got the pink footied pajamas.
The girl cousins who are able to attend.   Brittany is the youngest cousin on this side of the family.   Brett, Mandy, me, Sheri, and Brooke.
All the Pelt cousins in attendance.   By this time, we might have been a little goofy.
 My mom and her siblings.
Life is hard when you are Harrison.   He slept through the entire party.   I went in to wake him up and found him still snoozing soundly.   If the Pelts don't wake you up, you must be related to Nathan Mills!!!
I am looking forward to more special activities to come.   We celebrate our girl's birthday on Saturday and then more Christmas stuff later.   I love this season but I am trying to keep myself focused and remembering what we are actually celebrating - Worthy is the Lamb!
