Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas, Everyone! I know I am a day late, but we have had a busy few days. When we got home yesterday, I went straight to the work of laundry and putting all the goodies away. We have a lazy afternoon today (although the laundry thing continues), so I am taking the opportunity to share our holiday.

We traveled to mom and dad's on Thursday afternoon. That night the kids got to open their presents from the cousins. On Friday, Harrison and I went to see my Nanna. He is her 10th great-grandchild. This was her first time to see him. That night we went to church and then the kids opened presents from Nanny and Papa. Jillian got her DS. She started asking for that last year about a week before Christmas - when everything else had already been purchased. This year she really didn't bring it up until the last few days before her birthday - again, after everything had been bought. But Nanny and Papa came through for us, and she got one. Yesterday we opened up Santa presents and had a big lunch. Not long after that, the Mills clan loaded up and came home.
Jillian has a Dora blanket that she has had since she was 3. She loves it. That blanket goes wherever we go. She "kisses" on it and sniffs it, especially when she is really tired. The problem (aside from the obvious addiction and thoughts of "What is she going to do with this when she is 19?") is that Dora is really not big enough to cover her anymore. I found these really cozy blankets while I was Christmas shopping, so I bought one for her. She was pleased, but now we have the purple blanket and Dora.

The picture is funny. If you look closely, there are no actual feet in the feet of the outfit. He draws himself up while he sleeps, and when I uncovered him, this is what I found.
We had such a blessed Christmas. To be honest, I think all of us would have had a great Christmas regardless of gifts, because we got Baby Harrison this year. Even Jillian realizes that this is most special thing we could have been given.
I hope Christmas was a blessing to you. I hope you were able to love on those you love and worship the Christ that makes all things possible.
