My doctor's appointment on Thursday went well. Short and sweet, as usual. I have gained 20 pounds altogether. Nathan said, "Isn't that right on track?" To which I responded, "Right on track to outweigh you!!!!" Not what he was talking about - but definitely what I think about. I know it is crazy. When you have a string-bean husband, you probably shouldn't fret about outweighing him at the height of pregnancy. But I do. And unless he puts on a few pounds in the next few weeks, it is going to happen this time. Enough about weight. I measured 26 which is smaller than my 29 weeks by the doctor said that was fine. It was about this time with Jillian that I measured too small and had to have another ultrasound. Of course, everything was fine. The heart rate was good but he didn't tell me a number. And he wanted me to start coming every three weeks, so I will return on the 16th.
I am really enjoying the cooler morning temps. It is still a little hot for me once school gets out, but these mornings have been wonderful! Jillian has actually been cold in her shorts when we are walking into the school. It makes me have hope that fall might truly happen. The extended heat had me worried that it was going to stay miserably hot forever (or at least until after I give birth).
One last note, a week from now we'll be experiencing the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!! Next Friday night the Airedales will play for the first time this season. And a week from today the Hogs will hit the field. My College GameDay show will start, and I will be joyous and thrilled to get it going. I love football season and this year I love it even more, because before it is over, Baby Mills will be here!!!
Okay, really the last note, Baby Mills still doesn't have a name. And we aren't really even talking about it. I can't explain that. I think it just overwhelms me to the point that my defense mechanism is just to ignore it. I think Nathan thinks he knows the names, but he isn't acknowledging that I don't necessarily agree with him. So you might pray for some divine help on the perfect name for Little One. That's what I am doing.
