In honor of Oscar night, I have decided to write my own acceptance speech.
I would like to thank my director and screenwriter, my Lord and Savior. My story, just like everyone else's, is full of twists and unexpected turns. Things I think will go one way go another. But I have full faith that God is in control and things will turn out in such way to bring Him glory. To my husband, he is my favorite leading man. My role would be incomplete without his presence. I have such a wonderful supporting cast. My family, co-workers, and friends help me to do better, be better, and accomplish more. And to my children - what category would they even fit in? They keep me young and thinking. They are my inspiration and what motivates me seek a better tomorrow.
And for my Oscar predictions (the show has been on for a while now, so I will only pick those that haven't not yet been picked). Daniel Day-Lewis will become the only man to win the Best Actor award 3 times. Jennifer Lawrence will probably win Best Actress - but I won't be shocked if someone else wins. I have read several people raving about Naomi Watts. Anne Hathaway will win Best Supporting Actress (but Sally Field was really amazing, too). Argo will win best picture. And who knows who is going to win Best Director? By all accounts the person who should win isn't even nominated, so I your guess is as good as mine.
