The video is of Harrison dancing. This is not his best moves but he saves those for when the camera is not rolling, of course (some things have not changed much over the last almost 18 months - he sees a camera and refuses to cooperate). I will keep trying, though. Make no mistake about that.
Today me and the kiddos got haircuts and then Nathan and I (along with our friend Paul) went to see the Razorbacks play baseball. Can I tell you something? It was hot. Can I tell you something else? I don't care for baseball that much. But before you think I am just going to complain, hear me out. We have a former student who plays for the Hogs and he had a really good day today. He got a couple of hits, had a sacrifice bunt, and had several outs. So even though it is not a sport I relish, it was fun to get to see one of my big kiddos fulfilling his dream.
We have 13 school days left. And I could have less, as there is that wonderful thought of jury duty. I have to report Monday morning. Our first call in and I have to report. Not a good sign, I'm afraid. To be fair, orientation was not nearly as it had been the other time I did it. I think I told Mandy that my current group did not ask any stupid questions and they appear to be literate - as they had done what they were supposed to - both attributes a step up.
One last little piece of information - one that I am not getting too excited about - Harrison went to the bathroom tonight in the potty. I sit him up there every time he takes a bath. Really it is more about getting him used to be there, but tonight we had action! I am not kidding myself that this will be an easy process, but I'd be lying if it didn't give me some hope. Trying to potty train is on the agenda for the summer - and it would be nice if he already had some concept of what I was trying to get him to do. We'll see, but we did a lot of cheering and "Good boy" and the like tonight. Hopefully we can condition him to think this is the coolest thing ever.
