We celebrated Memorial Day weekend much like we do every year - with the family reunion. We had grilled hamburgers and the kids played in the creek. Nathan was afraid there wouldn't be any water in it since has rained so little lately. We were pleasantly surprised to find it in pretty good shape.
We weren't sure how Harrison would take this kind of water. It was cool and big and slippery. But he enjoyed himself. He played with the rocks - a lot. He watched the girls splashing and have a good time. He even fell over once and cried when I got him out. But he was back in the water in just a few minutes. No fear here!
I keep meaning to update you about my college friends' daughter and my friend Curtis. Little Isabella is about to start another round of chemo. Her parents say she is doing well but always needs more prayer as her little body continues to go through all of this mess.
Curtis, miraculously, got to come home Tuesday (I think) of last week. He is doing well and has survived something that most people wouldn't. I think he is easing back into "normal" life, but it will take time for his body to recover from such a trauma.
Thank you for your continued prayers.

Praying for your friends! Chemo is really hard. I hate that any child has to go through it. I have seen what it has done to my dad. I can't imagine a child. Glad your are spending time with your awesome family!
