Doubly Blessed

Last night as I checked on the kids one last time before I went to bed, I became overwhelmed at the fullness in my heart. The blessing that God has given me with these two children is indescribable. As I closed Harrison's door last night, I thanked God for the double blessing - two wonderful babies! This morning as I was thinking about my blessings, God spoke to my heart. The message (and I don't think there is any way I can get this across adequately) was simple - "Even if there was only one, the blessing would be the same!" What an awesome reminder that God is enough. We had sort of an odd day yesterday. I got a massage yesterday morning. Nathan and Jillian went to the Spinach Festival in the afternoon. I cleaned the house and did some laundry. Nathan went to his trap shooting team stuff later in the day. As I cleaned, Jillian was afraid that the vacuum would hurt Harrison's ears. She got her Tangled music out and put the earphones on him. I think he would have been okay with it except she kept adjusting them, taking them off, putting them back on. I think he just got tired of being messed with - imagine that!
Harrison had his first vegetable yesterday. We started with sweet potatoes. That was where we started with Jillian, and she did great. I was hoping for a similar result. He really liked it.

Finally, last night he was apparently exhausted. He didn't take a very long evening nap, so by the time he ate, he was pooped. I sat him up on the couch while I was doing a few little things. I looked over there and he was out.
It was a good day here. We got lots accomplished and the weather was great! I am excited about this coming week as we can focus on the cross and the resurrection of our tenderhearted Lord!
