So Long, Farewell, and Hello

Happy New Year and welcome to 2011!! It is so hard to believe that we have closed out another year. And what a year for the Mills family! Let's review just a tad.

This time last year I was beginning to plan a trip to Europe. I was making my decision about which trip to take and getting a meeting planned. We were also planning our anniversary celebration for our 10th year of marriage. Two days before our anniversary I learned that I was pregnant. Europe became a secondary thing to the news of a baby. I spent from March until about, I don't know, November, worrying and fretting that something would go wrong with the baby.

We had a great vacation, albeit not the original vacation we had planned, to Atlanta. I am so glad we got to go and do something different and see some new things. We spent the fall readying and preparing for the big arrival. And then we waited and waited and waited. November 18th finally got here and so did Harrison. We have spent the last 6 weeks running like crazy with the holidays and weight checks and doctor's appointments. But we are blissfully happy.

I am hoping that 2011 will see us settle into a pattern. Jillian will return to school. Nathan will go back to work. Harrison is bigger and is getting more and more ready to be on a schedule that he and I can agree on. We have no plans on our calendar. The biggest date is March 28th - the day I have to go back to work. It looms big, I promise. But Harrison will be left in the loving care of a wonderful woman who will love him like he is her own.
