Church Baby Shower

Since we didn't know if Harrison was a he or a she while I was pregnant, we opted to wait for the baby shower at church. The festivities took place today, and once again, we were overwhelmed by the love and generosity shown to us.

We got diapers (yea!!!!) and Harrison got some bigger clothes for the coming year of his life. We got some gift cards and he got some Razorback gear as well as lots of other things.

My mom makes a quilt for all the babies, and she gave this one to Harrison. You can't see it in the picture but she always sews the child's name and date of birth on it plus her name. He will always know that his Nanny gave this quilt to him.
I had already opened a Razorback outfit that was for smaller and someone had said he would need to wear it Tuesday when the Hogs play in the Sugar Bowl. Then I opened these which are bigger. I said he could wear these next year when the Razorbacks are playing for the National Championship. Even my husband, a die-hard Hogs fan, doubted me on that one. But wouldn't it be nice!!!
A friend from our Sunday School class got us this to hang on the wall. I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but that is an 'H' on the left and we believe with all our hearts that Harrison is our miracle from heaven.
Jillian helped me by handing me the presents. She was having to stretch and reach to get them by the end. She even had to go around the table to bring the last couple to me. When she had completed her task, she laid on the floor and claimed exhaustion. No drama here ;).
Thanks to everyone who came to the shower - especially those who came from "afar." We are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We cherish you and we know Harrison will, too.
