"I tell you if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." Luke 19:40
So I told you about the man who came to our church and went through several Scriptures pointing out what the rocks might say. I really did go through the Bible and look at references that included rocks or stones. Some of the things I came up on my own and some have been borrowed from the speaker at church (his name is YoYo Collins).
Exodus 17:6 - The Lord is a provider!
Numbers 20:8, Deuteronomy 22:13 - The provision of the Lord is dependable but comes in unexpected ways sometimes.
Exodus 24:4 - The Lord is the maker of unbroken promises! His covenants are ones that will not be broken.
Exodus 34:1 - Praise the Lord for boundaries, direction, and a the true way.
1 Samuel 17:50 - There is victory in the Lord.
Mark 16:3 - Jesus is alive! He is not held by the cross, the grave, or a stone!
John 8:7 - Hallelujah - God is full of mercy and grace.
Joshua 4:1-7 - Let us remember all the ways that God has taken care of us.
When I worked at church camp, Tierce Green sang a song "Ain't No Rock". That song said "ain't no rock gonna cry in my place." And I definitely want to do my own praising, but it was an interesting study into what those rocks might say if they needed to.
