This year has given us much to be thankful for and it is going to be difficult for me to narrrow the list down to just a few things.
Erin's 2011 List of Things to be Thankful For:
1. Big baby boy smiles and giggles as he is walking through the house with his head back going anywhere fast.
2. Big girl giggles as we play and talk and her excitement over hearing stories about mommy and daddy when they were MUCH younger.
3. An amazing group of people who love our children like they are their own and us like we are, too.
4. A job that includes co-workers that I can sit and talk to for hours (even if it means not doing work) and bosses that encourage, listen, and are invested in our school and us.
5. Our vehicles that take us all kinds of places - whenever we want to go.
6. The sights, sounds, smells and joys of the beach - have I mentioned I am ready to head back?
7. My God who knows me and what I am better than I know myself and loves me anyway.
8. A comfortable bed that I never get to stay in long enough but enjoy every minute that I am there.
9. The glow of the Christmas tree lights. There is just something relaxing and peaceful about sitting in a room with the only light coming from the tree.
10. An amazing football season that has provided entertainment, irritation, fun, and a serious reality check. As much as I love it, this last week reminds us that football is just a game. You know when the game clock is going to hit 0:00 (unless you are Les Miles). You don't know when the clock of your life is going to run out.
11. My husband, who wishes I wouldn't decorate for Christmas, but climbs up in the attic and gets down all my Christmas decorations anyway.
12. Funny people. Some people have the knack of making you laugh. They are a joy to be around and make our days so much more pleasant.
13. Rain and sunshine. It was so nice to listen to the rain last night as we went to bed, but it was equally as nice to see the beautiful sunshine today.
14. That Jillian is such an amazing big sister who loves to play with Harrison but she also is okay with telling him "no" and keeping him in line. Her help is invaluable to us.
15. A baby who is without a bottle now for several days and is doing just fine. I hate that he is growing so fast, but it is nice to not buy formula or wash bottles :)!
