Second only to college football season kicking off, the Academy Awards is a favorite time of year for me. I can't really explain. I don't usually even try. I just love, love, love watching the Oscars. It makes me happy. So in 33 1/2 hours, the fun begins. Here are my predictions for the year: The King's Speech for Best Picture, the director from The Social Network for Best Director, Colin Firth for Best Actor (if he doesn't win, it will be robbery much like Russell Crowe getting robbed for A Beautiful Mind), Natalie Portman for Best Actress, Christian Bale for Best Supporting Actor, and Melissa Leo for Best Supporting Actress. Toy Story 3 will win best animated movie.
I could be wrong, but I think I will be more right than wrong. You can give me a hard time in the comments if I have messed up. I can take it.
