Yesterday my dear, sweet girl got into trouble at school. It was just a warning but it was enough to make her mama one unhappy lady. Part of her punishment was having to write a letter of apology to the teacher. She told me on the way home from church what she was going to write.
Dear Mrs. Warnock,
Sorry for my behavior yesterday. I should have listened in
the first place.
I told her I thought that sounded great, but she needed to add one more sentence. I thought she needed to say, "It will not happen again." She thought about that for a minute and said, "I think I will write 'Hopefully, it won't happen again.'" What a mess, that kid!

I love it! Hopefully, she will not get a warning again. Hopefully, her mother will be patient with sweet Jillian. Hopefully, Mrs. Warnock will accept her apology and thank her for it. Hopefully, Alma will win tomorrow night. Hopefully, the Razorbacks will win on Saturday. Sorry...I just got really hopeful here for a second. Hopefully, Jillian will continue to use adverbs correctly so she can impress her future English teacher!
Jennifer, We are hopeful of all those things. She is such a character. Her Daddy says she is "just so smart". I feel like we are in for trouble somewhere down the line.
That made me laugh out loud. It would appear that you are in for trouble now. Hopefully she will always be that honest.
