6 Weeks to Go - In Theory

Yesterday I reached the 34 weeks mark. That means that if everything goes exactly according to medical miracles, I have 6 weeks left. If you know me, you know that I don't believe for a second that I have 6 weeks left. I might have 4 or I might have 8 but I just can't believe that 6 is the magic number. God may prove me wrong. I suppose we'll just have to see. And with the baby measuring big (more on that in a moment), I suppose I should hope for the four or that Dr. Haraway will induce, but I am not really hoping for either of those right now. Ask me again in a few weeks.

I did see the good doc today. He measured me but he didn't even say what it was. I assume it was still small (although when looking at myself in the mirror, I don't know how), but now that we have had the ultrasound, he just isn't concerned anymore. He did say the ultrasound looked good. The tech told us that but it is good to hear from the guy with MD behind his name. He said the baby was measuring in the 68th percentile, and that I just "hide" babies well. That's funny because Baby Mills isn't very good at hide-and-seek at this point - at least not from my perspective.

On an unrelated note, I got this text message today "This is Jillian mom. I am at the family life center. dad said that you couldn't come and get me and also I am going to miss my show. so can you come and get me?" So I call Nate and ask if I need to come get her. He tells me that she can wait. So five minutes later I get this text, "I'm still waiting, so hurry up." When I didn't respond, she sent another one about five minutes after that. "I can't wait much longer, so don't listen to daddy and just come and get me." I found this entire exchange to be very funny. My six-year-old was texting me. Sorry if you aren't amused, but I laughed out loud!

I LOL'd, too (well, maybe just a chuckle!) Really, she needed to watch her show and I don't understand why you and her father made her wait. Seriously.

And, I don't think you'll make it to 6 either. Yay!
