My Six-Year-Old

It is official.....we are the parents of a 6-year-old. We have been celebrating all weekend, and I believe she has had a wonderful time with family and friends. Here are just a few of the highlights of the two-day fest to celebrate our Jillian. The cake was Jillian's idea. She didn't want a theme this year but wanted butterflies and flowers, etc. So we went to the bakery and she helped order it. I think it turned out really well. She may have a hidden talent for such things.
Her big present from us was a trampoline. We showed it to her on Friday because there is no good way to hide a trampoline that is right out your back door. She has already been practicing her gymnastics (see below).

She was great at showing off her presents. Joel was checking this one out while she was raising it up.. She got some Strawberry Shortcake toys which I like because they smell good.

And she got a few clothes. She should be very stylish for the next little bit.
