Christmas 2009
Christmas for the Mills is a 3 day event. This year the three days happen to come all right in a row. We started out Christmas Eve at our house. Nathan and I always exchange our gifts here. We weren't supposed to do gifts this year because we bought a Wii right after Thanksgiving. But my husband broke the rules and got me a camera. This picture of Nathan and Jillian is the first one to be taken with it.
Then off to my parents we go. On Christmas Eve, we had an early supper and then went to Mom and Dad's church's candlelight service. This year Nathan and Mandy weren't feeling well so they stayed home with the 3 youngest girls. Nathan got some snuggle time in with the rest of us out of the house.
After coming home from church the kids open up their presents from Papa and Nanny as well as from their aunts and uncles. They were in the pjs so they could be ready for bed after the present-opening. Here is Jonathan in his Santa pjs and below that is Sophie in her Christmas pajamas.
My child would not wear her Christmasy pjs because they were too hot (and they probably were) but she froze the rest of us to death in her little sleep shirt.
Santa did a little something different this year. Instead of piling all of the presents for a child in one distinct pile, he put them all together and they had to figure out which ones were theirs. The kids seem to really like it, and it was a pretty display.
Christmas morning involves the Christmas story read by Papa, stockings, and presents with chaos. It is wonderful!!!!

Then on Saturday we made a slippery trip to West Fork. The kids played out in the snow and rode sleds and got pulled by a four-wheeler (thanks, Aunt Kristi). There won't be any pictures of that because I didn't go down there. Way too cold and snowy for me.
