"Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come and has redeemed his people.
He has raised up a horn of
salvation for us
in the house of his servant David.....
to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy
covenant,
the oath he swore to our father
Abraham;.......
to enable us to serve him without fear
in holiness and righteousness
before Him all our days."
- Luke 1:68-75
Merry Christmas, everyone! It is my prayer throughout this season that we will recognize the amazing thing that happened when Jesus was born. We received - not just a sweet baby - but the author of salvation and the fulfillment of the covenant promise. As we are opening presents and eating great food, let us remember that Christ came to the world a humble baby, but He left it the Savior and, quite literally, the Joy to the world!
