Washington, DC

Recently I made my trip to Washington, DC for the National History Day Contest. This year my mom went with me (this was her second trip). We had a great time with some great weather. I finally got to see the National Portrait Gallery - it had been closed every time I had been there. And it was well worth the wait. I got to see Katherine Hepburn's Oscars. Mom and my friend Manesseh were afraid I was going to take them out of the case and run. I really just want to touch one of them, but I didn't get to. Maybe next time........... Below are some pictures from the trip.
Mom and me at the Lincoln Memorial (he's behind us). You are actually seeing
the Washington Momument and Reflecting Pool behind us.

This is me and Manesseh at Union Station.

Me at the Capitol. I've been there before, so I took the opportunity to sit.

Mom and Me outside the Capitol.
