Plans

I recently located my college pastor's current church's website. I don't mind telling you that I really miss him (Blake) and his wife (Gayla), but recently, I have really missed them. I downloaded some sermons off the website, so I have been listening to Blake again :). The first sermon I listened to was about God's plans for our lives. Blake used Jeremiah 29:11-13 as part of the Scripture. Here is what really hit me. He obviously talked about God having a plan for each of us. And that it is a good plan. But what really spoke to me was the point on verse 13: That is the part that says, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart." Blake pointed out that more than seeking God's plans for us, he wants us to seek Him. The verse doesn't say Seek my plans. If we seek God, we'll find His plan for our lives. I think I have been so busy telling God what my plans are and expecting Him to get on board that I have lost sight of seeking Him with all my heart.
