Philippians 4:5b-7 says, "The Lord is Near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
How often do we forget that last part of verse 5. The Lord is near, so why am I anxious? I am sitting here watching the sun rise (yes, I have an insomnia problem), and I can't help but wonder, "If God can make this happen everyday, why do I fret about such small stuff?" I have committed to worry less, be anxious about less, and to seek that peace that comes only from God.
