2016
We are a couple weeks into the new year and there is lots to anticipate. Nathan and I have big birthdays this year. Harrison will begin school. We will elect a new president (Heaven, help us, please). Jillian will become a teenager (Heaven, help me). So many things that will happen will be fun and positive. Transitions aren't always easy, but there can be such good things to come out of it (like free school for H!). But I also know that 2016 will bring its own set of challenges and problems. Every year does. I hope and pray that this year will be easier than the last couple in a few ways. I would like to see less heartache and more reconciliation. I would like to see my people heal. I would like to see progress in my parenting. I would like to spend more time face-to-face with people and less staring at a screen (yes, I see the irony of me seeing that as I type on a computer). I would like to be wise and kind and full of grace and praise. A new year and new hopes. Lord, help us to make the most of the days you give us.
