Harrison is Swimming

Never say that we aren't a brave and resilient people. Last year's swim lessons for Harrison were excruciating at best. It was a hard, awful week with him crying and wailing more than swimming. He did pick up a few things - which he refused to use during the actual lessons but about a week later. To say that I was concerned about the lessons this year would be a tremendous understatement. Miracles do still happen. He is doing so well. He is listening and cooperating. He is swimming and doing what she says. I am beyond thrilled!

She started off my letting him pour water over her head. The water has been a little cool, so this was her easing him into the process.  After she got water poured on her head, she reciprocated.

He does really well with the kickboard. His legs are not the issue. It is his head and arms. So he can go, go, go with that board.

He got new Spiderman gear yesterday to go with his cool goggles, so he posed proudly today. He looks so big here.  I can't stand it.
