I am so thankful for my husband. He is my rock in so many ways. I cannot imagine a life without him in it. He isn't perfect, but he is what I need. I think Nathan and I are a great example of how God uses two people to complement each other. My strengths are not his and his are not mine. He is my champion and my sounding board. He keeps me grounded and not too wacky. He reels me in when I am going overboard. We aren't always in agreement, but we seem to always come to a place where we can both be happy. Just this morning, he wrapped me up when I was having a meltdown about our ever difficult son. (Although he does keep trying blame me for that, saying he was content with "just Jillian".) Are there days when things are a struggle? Absolutely. Will there be more of them in our future? Certainly. But Nathan is one of God's greatest blessings bestowed upon me.
God knew what I needed. And what I needed was a tall, lanky, goofy, loyal Nathan. Thank you, Jesus.
