A Little Big Prayer Request

Ok, y'all, I need some super big help from all my prayer warriors out there.   Last Tuesday, Nathan's back went haywire.   He was walking through the store and said it felt like someone stabbed him.   He has been in a terrible state since then.   He didn't work Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of last week.   He did work the first two days this week, but today he basically cannot move.   He had an MRI yesterday but we don't have any results, of course.   He is miserable.   I assume (you know, with my MD) that he has a bulging or ruptured disc, but we won't know that until the MRI has been analyzed.   

On top of worrying about my husband, I am letting my natural worrying tendencies get away from me.   He has missed 6 days of work - and we are in February.   If he can't work for a month, then he is going to have to go without pay.  If he has to have surgery, obviously we will be looking at an even longer time off work.   This is frightening to me.   And then I worry if he will ever be able to go back and do his job again.   I am not one that struggles with much anxiety (send my kid out on a boat in the middle of the lake and I get very panicky), but this one is beginning to really wear on me.   I can play through a thousand scenarios and not one of them ends well.    And, yes, I know that there is that one scenario where he gets better soon and everything goes back to normal.  That one, sadly, seems the least likely.  At least to me.  At least today.

We covet your prayers for Nathan's healing and recovery.  We would love for the doctor to make a quick assessment and act expediently.    It is so hard to watch someone you love hurting like he is hurting - especially when there is nothing I can do to help.
