After a while of sorting, pricing, and working, Mommy needed a break. Ice cream seemed to make everyone happy.
Jillian also found ways to entertain herself. Recently, Jillian learned to ride her bicycle. She now rides until she is red-faced, hot, and sweaty. But we are thrilled that she is doing it!
Yet another trip to Braum's.
Jillian fell asleep on the way to my parents' house this weekend. She will hate me for this one later in life (or right now honestly), but I just could not resist.
Yesterday I went with her class to Prairie Grove Battlefield. I had never been there on an actual tour. It was interesting. We listened to a guy talk about what a soldier would wear and carry with them during the war. We went through a house that belonged to people who lived near the battlefield and actually had troops sleeping outside of their home on the night before the battle. We went through the museum, had a picnic lunch, and walked a trail.
Jillian and some of her classmates around a cannon.
Then the cannon got the best of Jillian.
Artillery may not be her specialty.
There was a one room school house on the grounds. You can just barely make out the desk and little chalkboards behind her.
My girl is a reader. Today we got to celebrate her hitting all of her reading goals at the Reading Breakfast. It was a fun way to start the day.
And not long after that, I got this email from her teacher. My baby is the only student in the entire school who read 3 million words this year. So proud of her accomplishment.
