Please understand that I am a farmer's daughter. It goes against every ounce of my being to wish for God to shut off the water valve (temporarily, of course), but (and I believe my farmer friends would agree with me at this point) I just really need a break. Our house project is still nothing but a figment. They did get some of the road started about a week and half ago. But it has been too wet since then to do anything more. So we have about 1/4 of a road, and that is all. I am now firmly holding to my idea that it will be July before we see any real action, but I also have decided we will have wettest summer on record (You're welcome). Honestly, we are not too distraught. We are firm believers that things happen for a reason, so there is some reason
we obviously don't know that is causing this to be delayed.
On another note, I have 4 weeks left of school. As I have said before, I am
always ready at this time of year. I have had a good year. My students have been good and we have gotten along well. Jillian has enjoyed her 3rd grade year - tremendously. But I am tired. So a little break will be good for all of us. Our break won't be quite as relaxing as I like, though. Jillian has signed up for the swim team. We are excited about that, but she will have practice 3 mornings a week and 6 meets throughout the summer. And she has already been told that love it or hate it, she will finish. Someone may have to tell me that before it is all over.
So we are off to the final countdown. 20 days (10 with my senior babies). Year 15 is just almost in the books. Can you believe that? I am really not that old. Well....maybe I am.

I am ready to enjoy spring, not continue with winter. Hope your house plans are coming along well.
