Take Me to the Zoo, But Please Don't Leave Me There

We headed to the Tulsa Zoo yesterday with our friends the Doolys. It was a great day. It was cold yesterday morning. I was wishing for a sweatshirt and gloves, but it finally got comfortable after lunch. It took a while to get to the animals. There were several play places that distracted the children (big and small alike).

They were waiting to feel what an earthquake felt like. They being Jillian, Barrett, Dustin, Anna Kate, and Steven Dooly. Jillian and Daddy doing the rock wall. They always have to do these but Nathan said Jillian struggled with the second time. This morning she told me she wasn't tall enough and it was "too hard."
And then they jumped... Nathan jumped as well but there aren't any pictures - just video. I tried to post the video but that didn't happen. Sorry.

Funny kids.
Harrison's first trip to the zoo was mainly spent in the stroller. It was cool, windy, and the sun was bright (the rest of the family came home with some sunburn). He got out to eat and in the rain forest. He was really good all day but I sense he will enjoy being "free" today.
Jillian loves her turtles. As a matter-of-fact, she almost got into serious trouble due to her impatience to see the turtles. Finally we saw the turtles and her attitude got a thousand times better.

This picture was taken yesterday. The one below it was taken the other time we were at the Tulsa Zoo in 2009. Look how she has grown.

It was a fun day and I was glad we got to get out and do something. Spring break is pretty much over, and this was really the only out-of-the-ordinary thing we accomplished.
