Jillian's Last Stand - T-Ball 2010

Jillian played t-ball this year for the first time. For the record, she said she wanted to do it. We didn't force her or sign her up against her will. That said, she decided fairly early on that this was not for her. She cried when she got out. She was thrilled when Nathan told her she was going to be in the dugout for an inning. It wasn't that she was bad; it was that she didn't want to be there. Nonetheless, we do have photographic evidence that she did it! This next picture is pretty much the picture of her in the field - watching after the ball has already gone past her.

Alas, last night was the last games of the season. Daddy (her coach) kind of had mixed feelings. He enjoyed coaching them - and he was good at it, but he is ready for a little break from it. Mommy was thrilled that it was over because I was the one she came crying to when the game was just plain unfair to her. And Jillian was beside herself to have it done with. I suppose we'll move on to something else. She has VBS next week and swimming lessons in about 3 weeks. She should enjoy both of those things a lot more.

Cute! I never stuck with tball/softball, either. I had grand dreams....but was always disappointed with reality!
