I know it is late on Father's Day, but it will make it just in under the wire. Father's Day, to me, is about strong men who are committed to their families, their faith, and to making the world a better place. I have been blessed by a father who has demonstrated all of this plus so much more. We have always know where he stands and that he would do anything necessary to protect and provide for us. We have experienced his love and profound commitment to us throughout every step of our lives. Thank you, Dad, for being the kind of man that you are. We have all benefited from it.
And about my husband, what a catch! I knew that Nathan was a pretty good guy from the beginning. But as I watched his dedication to the important things in life, I realized he was so much better than pretty good. And then along came Jillian... With her arrival (and everyday since then) he has demonstrated a love and a patience and caring that is amazing. He loves our little girl so much. Enough to discipline her when she needs it. Enough to let her cry when she needs it. Enough to let her be independent when she needs it. What a gift he is giving her. And I love him all the more because of it.
Happy Father's Day, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day and felt the love and respect and appreciation that you deserve.
