And Then There Was The West Wing

I have not been intentionally ignoring my blog since school began. As usual I am just having a little trouble getting back into the flow of things. Two of my classes have changed some and I got a set of Chromebooks, so I am feeling very overwhelmed by everything that I need to be doing to make all that stuff come together. And if you read a couple of blogs back, I do have that tendency to bury my head in the sand when things get to this point. I was behind in my grading by the end of week one and while I have made some progress in that area, I haven't quite conquered it (not that I will as long as school keeps going). So I have been trying to teach school, be a decent mother, cook a few (at times very few) meals, keep laundry going, and fretting about my house. Fretting being all I am doing because I have definitely not done much work in that area since school began.  But really - in all truth and honesty - I have been suffering from an addiction to a little show called The West Wing. I have been rewatching it all summer and was just closing in on the end. I have been somewhat obsessed with seeing it through to the end so several things in my life have suffered because of it. I officially wrapped it up Saturday, so now life can begin to look a little more normal now that President Bartlet has flown off into the sunset to let the next President take the helm.
The kiddos and I have started off the year well. Jillian is enjoying her 6th grade experience so far. She seems to like everything but math. She does not rave about that yet. I know she will. Her teacher is really extraordinary, but she has not enjoyed the first bit of content. Harrison is doing well, too. He seems to be behaving decently - only reporting going to time out once. He even got to get something out of the treasure box one day. Miracles do still happen, people. I am just hoping that he can keep doing well, learn a lot, and be ready for the big K in a few months.
Now that I have finished my television show, hopefully I can find the time to blog, read a book, and do some school work. Oh wait - football season just started. Scratch that previous statement. If you need me I will be cheering for the Razorbacks and Airedales as well as a couple of other teams and cheering against some others (like as of this very moment - against Ohio State).  Happy Fall, Y'all!
