This past weekend Harrison discovered that he likes those little candy pumpkins. They are a little too big for him, but that will not deter this little man from partaking. It will take a bigger challenge than that to stop him. So tonight as he watched Daddy and Jillian washing dishes, he looked at a catalog and ate a pumpkin. Hence the orange drool.
We went to see Nathan's parents Saturday. At some point we heard a collision and H started crying. We couldn't quite determine where he had hit. We now know for sure - check out that bruise on his forehead. And in case you can't tell, it is more than a bruise. It is a nasty knot, too.
Harrison is loving bubbles these days - he just started saying the word. Very cute. Jillian has become a housekeeper extraordinaire. She comes in the door in the afternoon looking for things to put away. She makes beds and wants to wash the dishes. So tonight while she washed, Harrison played in the bubbles.
Favorite pastime - slinging them from his hand.
On a completely unrelated note, it looks like we might be on the verge of becoming landowners. We haven't signed any paperwork yet, but we have made an offer and put down a little earnest money. We are waiting on the perc test - which is to be done tomorrow. If that goes well, I guess we will proceed and become official.
And lastly, here is my opinion on my beloved Hogs. I am, like most people, confused and frustrated. I am also sick to death of the name Bobby Petrino. Whether people are saying to bring him back or this is all his fault, I think it is time to let it go. These boys were going to be the ones playing whether BP was at the helm or not. And so far they are not getting it done. I don't know why not. I don't know that it can be fixed. I don't think firing a guy who is an interim to begin with is the answer. Do they really need even more instability at this point? Are you going to get a coach that is great at this point in the season to step up and finish the next few weeks? I think not. So I say "Bear down, Hog Fans! Keep cheering and supporting but be realistic. And for Pete's sake, SMILE!"
