Fun in the Yard

On Friday afternoon, we enjoyed a few fun, laid back moments just chillin' in the yard. Harrison loves to be outside. We were going to the ball game and I knew I wasn't cooking dinner, so we had some down time to just be.

Harrison loves this stick. He swings it around and plays with it every time we take him out.
He looks like he is really trying to say something important - all the while, his gun is slung over his shoulder. That's what it looks like to me anyway.

He does put the stick in his mouth. I think it must be rough on his gums, because he would cry. Nathan made sure and got some crying pics. Just for those of you who don't believe he ever does.

Giving Mommy some much needed love on a Friday afternoon after a long week of work...

Getting Mommy's nose. Nathan says I should say "Honk" when he does that. I say "nose" instead. I told Nate that I am trying to use this abuse for teaching purposes.
Making faces at each other.

Jillian used her time to read. She has found this new series that she really enjoys. She just laid out there and read her book.

She is a little bit of a diva, though, and she brought her mat from kindergarten out so she wouldn't lay directly in the grass.

It was a beautiful evening. We all went to the Airedale football game - a first for the season. It was Harrison's first game - ever. He was really good, but he didn't really know what to think of all the people, noise, and lights. Someday he'll cheer for the Airedales with us. His little shirt says, "I want to grow up to be an Airedale."
