Life with Jillian

Jillian purchased herself a Star Wars chapter book this week at the book fair. She was reading it diligently last night. She wasn't reading aloud, so I was asking her questions to see if she was understanding what she was reading. This morning she commenced to reading as soon as she woke up. She read before getting dressed, after getting dressed, while she was eating breakfast, and in the car on the way to the church for their program practice. I was asking her what was happening in Chapter 4 as we drove. She said, "I can't really remember because I read it while I was eating my breakfast." Being the good mom that I am, I suggested she should just wait until we got home where she could read without distractions and in the quiet. Her response, "Then maybe you should be quiet." She always as an answer for everything. She is her father's child :).
